I have to say it has been a pleasure to have my father at Heartland Plymouth Court. From the first day he was admitted, I knew this would be the right place for him. My father is not the easiest person to work with, and I think they seen that from the first day. They let my dad have his freedom and be the person that he was. They worked with him very well. Each day I walked in, I would be greeted by Donna the secretary who would always be smiling, and not only tend to my fathers needs but my needs also. She is the first person you see when you walk in, and what an impression she makes! My father just loves her. Then, as you walk in, you are greeted by Melissa who is the Admissions Director and not only is she always smiling, but she is simply a pleasure to talk to about any information you need. As you are heading to your loved ones room, you pass the nurses station where they are always ready to talk to you about any questions you may have or if you just need to talk to them about anything. Each nurse that works there is simply wonderful and they take such good care of their patience. The nurses aids are the best as well. Not only do they take care of their patients needs like bathing, feeding and anything else they need done but they are always hugging and joking with them. My father has his favorites for therapy and they have done wonders with him. He is stronger then ever now and he looks forward to seeing them and is always waiting in the hallway for them to pick him up. Sandip has worked very hard with my father. When he first came to Plymouth Court, Sandip was the one appointed to work with my father. After that first therapy session, my father insisted he only work with Sandip. Rebecca in OT, I cannot say enough about her. She is consistently working hard with my father and always giving him a hug and making him feel special. I cannot forget about the cooks and their staff. They actually made a visit to my father because they were told that they had a stamp of approval from him for such good food. Even though my father did not participate in the activities, they always encouraged him. I would sit in some of the activities and they did such a great job. Val, the social worker, what a great support she is. From the many talks I have had with her about my father and his care meeting, to talk about his progress and the next step for him. She made sure my father understood everything and made him such a part of the meeting. I cannot say enough about the facility and it's cleanliness. As we reach the end of my father's therapy and his stay at Plymouth Court Heartland, he does not say much about going home anymore. I think he realizes that he will truly miss each and everyone of the staff members for the impact they made not only to his recovery, but the friendships he created.
Thank you for giving such Service From The Heart!
Sincerely,
Carmen Naser
