Great Shop 9/26/2005

I have taken several knitting classes at Hearthstone and cannot say enough positive things about them. The prices were vert fair, instructor was excellent, and the variety of yarns was extensive. I love going into Hearthstone! I purchase all of my yarns there and enjoy the candles as well. more

Interesting Stuff 8/12/2005

Hearthstone is an interesting place to shop. They have mainly country type themed items. I wasn't impressed with their prices. They were a bit much, but the things they were selling were more for people who want to really decorate their homes. They had large pictures and books. They were more geared towards vintage and victorian. It is a great place to buy gifts for any occasion. more

Love this place! 8/11/2005

I first came to this store when I took an evening enrichment class through Kirkwood Community College! They have such wonderful stuff I have been back many times. I even had someone pay me to go there and make a bracelet for them. They have most anything you'd need to make a variety of crafts and gifts. Well worth the drive across town! more

Great candle & bead shop 8/4/2005

Quaint little specialty shop. Caters to candle makers and those who do beading. Shop is small and a bit crowded but very comfortable atmosphere. Nice selection of candle fragrances and coloring dyes. Can purchase small quantities or large – offer discounts for large quantity orders. Also sells soy wax chips. Small bead selection, but all nice quality. Small table so you can do your beading project right there in the store. On street parking. more

Gifts and more 7/17/2005

This little gift store is tucked back in the heart of Marion. The store is an old building. The door is heavy to open. IT has wooden floors and a very high ceiling. It is brightly lit and decorated in a country manor. They carry an assortment of beads, higher quality yard and gift items. I personally like the fragrance oils for candles. more

Some unique gift ideas 7/13/2005

Hearthstone was the only store for a long time that carried beads and let you make your item in the store. In the last year, several new bead stores have opened in this area. The new stores are better equipped and offer more classes. This store does have some unique gift ideas. If you have someone who is hard to buy for, you might want to check here. more

Beads, Candles, Yarn, Lotions 7/6/2005

Awesome selection of fragrance oils for making soy candles and lotions. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. Classes are offered for beading, candle making, lotions & soaps, knitting and crocheting. There are two tables available to sit at and create jewelry while in the store. The employees are available for assistance and very helpful. The beads are on the average price. The sterling silver is more. The fragrance oils are priced from $4.50 for 4 oz to $7 for 8 oz. They also carry some gift items and soy candles made up all ready. Parking can sometimes be a hassle on 7th Avenue, but not impossible to find. more
