We had scheduled the heart of st. charles banquet center for our daughter's wedding reception. One month before the event, we found out that the heart had also scheduled a cage fighting event for the same night, in a room right down the hall from our reception. We feared parking nightmares, as well as the type of people our guests would encounter during the reception. When I called the heart to express my dismay and concern, the banquet mananger NEVER returned my call. In short, we chose to lose $3000 and went to Orlando Gardens instead. With only one month's notice, Orlando Gardens provided a spectatular event for us. The service and food was fantastic with many of our guests commenting that it was far superior to events they had attended at the heart. Please make sure if you choose the heart, that you find out if there is to be any boxing/cage fighting event on the same evening.
