As a chiropractor for 21 years, I have known a number of landlords. I have been a tenant at Paper Mill Village since 2001, and HW bought the complex several years ago. HW has done some nice touches around the complex, making it quite attractive. Any time I ever have an issue (such as a roof leak a few weeks ago), that roof was fixed by the next day. I would never recommend this landlord to prospective tenants. They hired an unlicensed contractor who lied on the Building Permit Application form, did not obtain ANY permits to do $40,000 of work. Cobb County shut down the the contractor (who hired The Three Stooges to do all the work). He told Cobb County on the application there was no work to be done, just a simple move out, move in. The work was so bad, it all had to be redone. I had to hire an attorney to make them get the proper permits and have them sign a lease amendment. Now, nearly 4 months later, they have still not complied with the lease, including ADA requirements.
