Caring shelter 8/6/2016

We recently adopted a small dog from the shelter. the caretakers there are vey concerned about who adopts their friends. We were fortunate to earn their confidence in adopting our little guy and appreciate all they do to make sure the right people are willing to take on that responsibility. Thank you for all you do and the caring you have for these displaced pets. more

Staff is wonderful 8/8/2012

I saw the staff walk and even play with the dogs on the front yard of the shelter. Every dog gets a clean blanket in their kennel everyday. And not a thin blanket either, full size comforters !!!!!! Dogs looked really comfortable to me. more

Money 10/13/2010

I remember a while back, a women who pass away gave thousands of dollars to this shelter - I have been to this shelter and have NEVER seen anything IMPROVED! WHAT HAPPENED TO All THIS $$$ Where did it go? With all that $ this place could have been rebuild (or at the least updated & an addition added!!! more

DOG'S SLEEPING QTRS 12/17/2008

Caring staff 8/20/2005

This animal shelter has operated in the Hazleton area for many years. Like most shelters, it is desperately in need of donations of money and supplies. I am sure they could also always use more volunteers. They are usually crowded with animals, especially cats. It is definitely not an easy job to care for all these animals, but the staff really does their best. Most of the people are major animal lovers and really care about every animal. more
