For me, the best part of the stay was the set-up. We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom, 2 bath lofts. To be able to retreat upstairs at night, to not have to try to get me, my wife, and our children in and out of the same bathroom, was unbelievable. The full kitchen allowed my wife to shop and actually lowered the trip costs for food. more

The bottom line is this: my wife and kids absolutely loved this hotel. The staff took great care of us, and it was a great deal. We will definitely be staying at Orangewood the next time we're in Austin! more

The location was perfect 7/1/2011

The location was perfect. It took me less than 15 minutes to get to the Convention Center each day. Also, there is a bus stop near the property and a metro rail station 1 mile away. more

The rate is reasonable and the rooms are clean and nice. The pool is surrounded by beautiful plants. The breakfast is real food and wonderful!!! I always stay here when I am in Austin for business more

I am speechless 6/6/2011

Let's see where should I start. I stayed at this hotel from Jan 31 thru May 19 2011 and it has been a previlige to stay with such committed owners and staff who bend over backwards to satisfy their customer. When I first checked in the hotel was under going renovation and the owner promised that I will have new mattresses, flat screen tv and new microwaves. In less than a week I had new mattresses in my room. Before the month was over I had large flat screen tv and a new microwave. Here is another instance I have to share. One friday my wife happen to meet the owner and mentioned that everything was great in the room except for the soap and shampoo. I was amazed that the following Monday I had new shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soaps in my room. The staff takes their customer's comments very seriously and do whatever is in their capacity to make your stay as comfortable possible. Keep up the good work guys. Good Luck!! I will be staying at this hotel everytime I am in Austin. more

The service was fine, At the hotel, we found there was a $100 fee for our very well behaved dog. The management was gracious to make a fee adjustment. The value received was fantastic. more

We were quit impressed with the room,not knowing what we were getting in for because we had never heard of Hawthron Suites, but after checking in the room, it had central Air cond. with seperate thermostats for the up, and downstairs...the kitchen has it all,stove,micro.,ref.toaster, coffee maker, plus dishes, silverware,mugs, glasses etc everything your own kitchen has. Since we weren't use to the muggy weather in the 90's, we really liked how quiet the air conditioner was. The continental breakfast was very nice. more

My husband and I have stayed at the Hawthorne Suites for several years because of its cleanliness, accessibility and dependability. The breakfasts are good, and staff are reliable. Surprisingly, there is no road noise from the interstate highway, which is a block away, which is very important to me. more

Great Location 4/7/2011

We stayed here during SXSW festival. They were just putting up their sign so I don't think they have owned it long. From the minute you get there you have the sense that it is a family business and they put a lot of care into the renovation and your comfort. It was a great location. Very convenient to have the kitchenette with full size refrigerator and there was a little patio you could sit on. more
