Hawaiian Airlines 10/15/2005

Hawaiian Airlines is a main local airline in Hawaii. They do not provide only many flights between an inter island, but also to the main land. The check-in process is very convenience both traditional and e-check in formats. The service on flight is very nice too. They are friendly to customers. I think their prices are reasonable to their services. more

Top Rated Airlines 10/4/2005

Hawaiian Airlines has been serving Hawaii residents for quite a while now. They have top rated service and their jets are well maintained and very clean. Most of their jets looks new and I hardly find any trash or rubbish when I board the plane. Since their jets are a lot larger than Aloha Airlines' jets the rides are less bumpy and their landings are a lot smoother. If you are looking for a smooth ride on newer jets then I would recommend flying with Hawaiian Airlines. The only drawback with Hawaiian Airlines is their fares which are always higher than Aloha Airlines' fares. more

Good service with a smile 9/9/2005

Sometimes I fly on this airlines and sometimes I fly on Aloha Airlines. I like this airlines because they have first rate jets that are large and quiet compared to Aloha Airlines' jets which are small and loud. I always get great service at Hawaiian Airlines whether it's at the check in counter or at the gate. The rates to neighbor islands are a little higher than Aloha's. more

NIce Jets 9/2/2005

I like this airline because they seem to have nicer and newer jets. One advantage of Hawaiian Airlines over Aloha Airlines is that their gates at the Honolulu Int'l Airport are closer to the check in and baggage claim areas. Their jets are larger and look newer but I'm not really sure if they are newer than Aloha's. Service is professional on Hawaiian Airlines. more

The other airline 8/20/2005

Hawaiian Airlines is one of two major inter-island airlines serving Hawaii, the other being Aloha Airlines. I’ve always preferred Aloha because they are aligned with United Airlines and also had a better on-time track record. For the latter, the difference between the two airlines has decreased and they perform pretty similarly now. With the schedule-sharing arrangement between Aloha and Hawaiian, your choice of carrier may depend completely on when (and where) you need to fly, as much of the overlap in their schedules has been eliminated. Prices are also roughly the same with both airlines matching prince increases and decreases. Hawaiian has the HawaiianMiles frequent flier program and they have partnered with local merchants so that you earn miles for, say groceries. more

Coach or First Class 8/20/2005

Hawaiian Airlines offers both interisland flights and flights to and from the mainland. I’ve traveled both in coach and first class on their flights. For interisland traveling sitting in first class isn’t worth the price it costs especially since the flights are so short. Traveling in first class to the mainland might be worth the price increase. The seats are much larger and you have more room to stretch out. The lavatories are much cleaner. And the food is much better. The last time I flew was a few years ago so they might have cut the food service down. more

Hawaiian Airlines 8/10/2005

I like Hawaiian Airlines because unlike Aloha, they have assigned seating for interisland flights. I feel like the service is better and the planes are bigger and cleaner. On check on, it seems to go quickly and the people who work there are very professional. The thing that really makes me choosse Hawaiian over Aloha is that their prices are much better. Booking online, you can save yourself $20 per leg over what Aloha gives. more

great airlines - embodies aloha spirit 8/4/2005

Hawaii has two local airlines – Hawaiian and Aloha Airlines. While I have ridden on both airlines, I often ride on Hawaiian Airlines just because they often have deals and bargains I take advantage of, and because their planes are generally bigger, which makes the rides more comfortable. The first thing you notice when you’re riding on Hawaiian Airlines is the awesome service; the flight attendants are always very gracious and helpful – the very embodiment of the “aloha” spirit. They are willing to chat or assist you with anything. When I flew to college for the first time, I bonded with a Hawaiian Airlines flight attendant because she had a daughter who had just left for college also. We had a great chat. It was a great flight experience, and I highly recommend Hawaiian Airlines to everyone who flies between the mainland and Hawaii. Hawaiian Airlines also flies to other destinations, such as Australia, and plans on adding more destinations soon. more
