If you want a taste of old colonial Hawaii & a nice night out, then check out a show at the Hawaii Theater. It isn't what you'd expect from the early 1900's here in Hawaii with the painted Greek murals framed by gold leaf pillars and red velvet curtains. Some great annual shows are the Falsetto competition (Hawaiian Falsetto), jazz revue, and slack key guitar competitions to name a few. The website offers all the information on upcoming shows. It is very easy to get to, but difficult to park at. Local parking can be very expensive & the area at night tends to be a little shady and is the "Red Light District" of Honolulu. I recommend taking a taxi from Waikiki or parking at a restaurant, have dinner & get validated.
