Great place for a cigar 11/1/2008

Stopped by Havana's the other day while in Cherry Creek. Great place! The lounge was almost full, and the poker table was in use by a group of guys. I grabbed a seat by the window, and WOW! The views from Havana's corner are must see! Great lounge with all leather seats, there was college football on the plasma screen. But I just sat staring outside. The weather's still beautiful, which means all the lovely ladies of Cherry Creek are trying to fit in one last day or two of summer clothing! Add a Davidoff Double R, and it really made for a nearly perfect afternoon. I'll definitely be back, and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, relaxing place to smoke a fine cigar. Their humidor houses all the usual suspects, but really has a lot of new, and highly rated, boutique brands (601, Cabiguan, Rocky Patel, etc.). If you can't find something that will fit your pallet here, you might want to consider taking up chewing tobacco instead; they've got a great selection of premium cigars! more

Great cigar shop and lounge 8/3/2007

Havana's is by far the best selection of premium cigars in Colorado. If you want to enjoy a fine puro in a super relaxing nieghborhood cigar lounge -- Havana's is THE only choice. It is located 1 block directly north off The Cherry Creek Mall. In the sophisticated, upscale neighborhood of Cherry Creek North.\r \r Brian the owner (who looks like Andy Garcia's younger brother) is super jovial and takes great pride in combining reasonable prices with great selection. \r \r From Davidoff to Aurturo Fuente and everything in between. Become a regular and ther are some extra secret bonuses. more

Smoky Treat Heaven 4/6/2007

This place is the absolute epitome of cigar life. You will find yourself in the company of fine people and characters a plenty with a humidor to satisfy every palate. I have a humidor in the shop and have whiled away many a happy hour working wirelessly in the company of others who share my passion for our smoky mistress. The shop hosts a party on the last Friday of every month and a Guy's Night on the 3rd Thursday of every month. You're likely to light a smoke and spark up a good conversation anytime you go through the doors. more

Best break from a long day 4/2/2007

Havana's is a great place to take a bit of a break from the rest of the world. The new management is working very hard to make sure everyone feels welcomed. The improvements show as does the pride management takes in their establishment. Brian maintains a great selection of cigars and has the knowledge to help all from the neophite to the experienced cigar smoker. Come in just to say hello or stay for a while and visit with new or existing friends. It is all good...even their smoke-eater more

Great Cigar Shop and Lounge in Cherry Creek North 4/2/2007

I've been a regular customer of Havana's Fine Cigars for years. Over the past 6 months, with the change in ownership, there have been many impressive improvements done. First, the selection of cigars can't be beat. New boutique cigar brands have joined the other fine cigars which have always been there. I'm a Davidoff cigar smoker, and this is one of a couple places in town where I can get them. They also have a great selection of accessories in every price range, and they aren't affraid of bringing in new items. \r \r What sets Havana's apart is their lounge. They've recently added an extra leather couch to their lounge, and now have a flat pannel TV. There's always someone in the shop watching a game or the financial channels during the day, and things really pick up around 3 pm or so. The staff is always attentive and knowledgeable, the shop is clean, and the patrons are very friendly. \r \r If you're in the Cherry Creek area, or within a short drive, be sure to stop by Havana's. You won't be disappointed. Pros: Very comfortable lounge where you can enjoy a cigar and watch a game Cons: Cherry Creek parking, but I've never had to walk more than a block. more

Come for the cigars, stay for the people. 3/30/2007

I have had the privilege of experiencing cigar stores and lounges all over the country, and all over the world, and Havana's is without a doubt my favorite. They have an extensive array of cigars in a well maintained and consumer friendly humidor, and more important, a comfortable environment if you want to stay and enjoy one. The proprietor and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, and it is not uncommon to find them sitting and discussing anything from cigars, to sports, to world events with both regulars and first time customers. There may be a game on television, or Sinatra playing on the stereo, either way it makes for a great environement to wile away a few hours. Pros: Great cigars, great people. Cons: Parking issues are over-emphasized - try the structure one block west! more

The Premier Shop in Denver... Without the Premier Prices! 3/30/2007

Havana's is a great shop to meet people, relax and watch some TV, or just do people watching. They have awesome windows that look out over cherry creek north and a recently renovated lounge where you can relax an entire afternoon away. The lounge is comfortable and clean with plenty of space to sit and has a fabulous flat screen TV... great for Avs or basketball! This place is a great place to meet with friends, colleagues, and network with new and interesting people. \r \r The staff is friendly, knowledgable, and the selection in the huge walk-in humidor can't be beat. The management and staff do a lot for their customers with appreciation nights and tastings, so there is always something going on. \r \r Good place for guy's gifts.... lighters, flasks, etc. Pros: Ambience is the best. Cons: Parking really isn't that bad. more

Friendly Staff and a Great Atmosphere 3/29/2007

Most cigar shop employees tend not to be the friendliest of the bunch, this couldn?t be further from the truth at Havana?s. The staff is friendly, helpful and most importantly knowledgeable on all brands and their respective characteristics. A great selection of cigars seems to always be available including rarities like Opus X and VSGs. The new renovations were long over due and have made the lounge more inviting and spacious. Havana?s is definitely my number one place to stop by and have a smoke! Pros: Great selection, friendly atmosphere, cheap parking Cons: Fighting soccer mom's in suburbans for parking spaces more

A great cigar experience. 2/19/2007

If you want a cigar store that is classy and made for the true cigar aficonado, Havana's is the place for you. The staff is knowledgable and friendly and the selection is fantastic. In addition, the owner is often there and can answer any and all questions you may have.\r \r I have traveled many places throughout the world and Havana's is among the best places to smoke a cigar. For me, it is a second office (there is a free internet connection) and a place to hang out with good, intelligent people. I have met many people well-connected in the Denver business community. You will enjoy being here. Pros: Great ambience and selection. Cons: Cherry Creek parking is always an issue but is attainable with a couple circles. more

Best cigar shop in Denver 2/19/2007

Havana's is under new ownership, new management, and the changes are evident. Frequent events and parties, a cigar lounge with leather chairs and satelite HDTV, as well as lowered prices and improvements to the inventory have made a huge difference. The atmosphere is compfortable yet sophisticated, and there are almost always cigar enthusiast enjoying one another's company in the lounge. Pros: New ownership has meant lowered prices and much higher standards. Cons: Parking in Cherry Creek still is somewhat trying. more
