I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant on a recent trip to Miami. I ordered the Havana 1957 Specialty (I'm a sucker for restaurant specialties) and was very impressed with the dish. Basically this is a roasted chicken covered in Cuban gravy with sweet plantains, black beans and rice. The chicken was juicy and tender, the gravy was flavorful and full of spices, and the sides were well prepared and complimented the chicken perfectly. I highly recommend this restaurant. more

Vey impressed with the food and service. Tasted like home made dishes, what your mother used to make. Moito pitcher was awsome, serves about 5. Smoked pork chops were unreal, Fried pork chuncks were sooo tender, grilled fish was extremely fresh. Rocommended highly. more

Nice atmosphere, great food as cuban as it gets, have to try tamales and tostones rellenos con camarones, they are awesome! Mojitos are good, and i dont think pricey at all for a restaurant in south beach.. Would definitely come back :) more

Friendly staff & great comfort food. Churrasco de Res, Ropa vieja & fried plantain cups with ground beef (can't recall name of dish) were all so good. Loved sitting outside and listening to Latin music while watching passersby. more

Ok service, certainly not overly friendly or accommodating. We got annoyance from our waitress when we asked for ice for our water "it's cold," she answered. The food was average at best, and especially not worth the price. We had the signature chicken dish- dry chicken and gravy was not very good. Also ordered a shrimp dish with peppers in red sauce which did not exude Cuban flavors, nor was it memorable or very tasty. Would most definitely not return or recommend. more

My friends and I spent a fabulous weekend in South Beach and stumbled on this jewel immediately outside of the hotel we were staying in called The Clay. It is very small but so beautiful. You imagined yourself in Cuba. We sure did. It also had the Ernest Hemingway feel to it. The service here was incredible, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The food was amazing. We ordered Cuban sandwiches and one in our group ordered the 1957 Special which was roasted chicken and rice with black beans. All of our food was so delicious that there was nothing left to take out. I highly recommend this wonderful place. It's open 24/7. You can reserve the beautiful red booth too. I cannot wait to return to South Beach just to eat here for delicious cuban cuisine. It didn't break the bank either. We also enjoyed original and mango mojitos. These were very strong but I don't drink so maybe that's why it was strong for me, still good however. more

Good food. First time trying Cuban food so can't speak to its authenticity, but very tasty. Menu looked bland, but actual food was not. Mojitos among the best I've tried. more

Great location and atmosphere, appetizers great with good portion sizes for the rice.. Only thing was food was on the salty side. Otherwise, a good Cuban spot more

I dont know about the food but the mojito was killer! I ordered the mojito pitcher and it was probably the best i ever had. They didnt skimp out on the rum and it wasnt overly sweet. Also the bartender was so nice he let me try the expresso on the house! I will definetly go back next time I am near by to try the food. more

(this plate was for one.)\r \r ok if i had to say one good thing it would be the coffee was hot. more
