Gallery co-owner Nancy Hauk is an art history major (Connecticut College) and a fine artist specializing in watercolor. In the spring of 1915 the Pacific Grove Public Library in California presented a one-person show of her work Loving Watercolor: Paintings by Nancy Hauk. It was announced at the opening that the library gallery would be named for Nancy and Steve Hauk. John Steinbeck used the library in the 1930s and it is an historic Carnegie building.
