The ambiance of the place in the evening was great: lights in the trees, the view of the Honolulu shore with its lights in the distance, live music... We got a couple of appetizers: tuna sashimi was fine, and seared tuna was fine ok as well - but it's no more than you'd expect from a place that has island-type access to fresh fish. Sauces and greens were unimpressive. Waiters were snobs. On top of that, we had an Entertainment book coupon we couldn't use: it was for 'free entree of up to $18' - well, their entrees STARTED at $26. So, they probably raised their prices right after contract with the book - sneaky. Don't like places that do that. And, they wouldn't budge about us having to order 2 entrees to get $18 off - again, pure rip-off.
I notices 3 ladies eating alone there in the time we took to eat our appetizers. Very odd for a 'romantic' spot - am I missing something about the hotel this place is at???
