Hatam Restaurant is open to the public. This is the original location that opened up in Anaheim in 1990. It is owned by Hossein and Abdollah Rajab. They take pride in serving a wide variety of authentic Persian dishes which are all halal. \r \r \r *** Note that there is a 2nd branch in Mission Viejo which was sold about 8 years ago and operated by Afsaneh and Babak. more

Delicious Persian Food! 3/24/2010

If you like Persian food, this is the place! They have EXCELLENT grilled meats and their dill and cherry rice is amazing. I'm not a big lamb person, but I really like the lamb. It's amazing. Service isn't super friendly, but that's okay, the food is worth it. more

Flies 9/21/2009

...It might have been a spooked thing, I was expecting for someone to say something like - sorry about the fly on the iced tea. This guy did not say anything at all!!! No one did! A small apology is good enough for me. Anyhow, As I maintain my coolness I noticed there are flies flying around in the restaurant. Needless to say, no way I am going back. Pros: Food is good Cons: dead fly on iced tea more

Hatam Restaurant has good food at good prices 8/28/2009

Hatam has good food (not the best Persian food I've eaten, but still good). It's best to go in the afternoon; they're packed at night. The main waiter is very nice, and goes above and beyond. The cucumber salad is good, the chicken is great, and the rice with berries is delicious. more

Persian Food At Its Best 4/13/2008

Hatam Restaurant is a family restaurant serving the best Persian comfort food in California. No alcohol is served and the meats are Halal. The garden salad and shirazi salad are freshly made. There is a wide variety of stews, chicken, beef, and lamb, each one better than the next. My favorite dine-in meal begins with the special assortment of appetizers, including borani, olivieh, dolmades, and shirazi. The main course I usually choose is the koobideh combo, with one juicy skewer of ground chicken and one skewer of beef and lamb mixture with a generous portion of basmatic rice. Comfort food at its best. Your family will love it. more

Delicious Persian Cuisine 4/9/2008

Hatam's is a family favorite. My parents live about 10 minutes away and they eat there or get take-out at least once a week. I eat there as often as I can. They have amazingly tasty food and the portions are huge! I love the "barg" which is basically seasoned and grilled filet mignon. Their entrees come with a huge serving of delicious basmati rice or you can ask for half the rice and get salad with a delicate lemony dressing. They bring Lavash flatbread to the table which is great with butter and a onion slice that they bring also. The appetizer combinations fantastic. The outside of Hatams doesn't look like much but the atmosphere inside is elegant and friendly. more

Comfort Food at Its Best 2/24/2008

Hatam's is comfort food at its best. From the bademjan (eggplant and beef stew) to the koobideh (beef or chicken kabob) to the sabzi polo (herbed rice) and albalou polo (sour cherry rice) everything is homemade and delicious. There is no alcohol served here and all the meat is Halal. It is a wonderful family place where the service is professional and friendly and homey at the same time. You will only be a stranger here one time, after that you are family. Pros: Excellent food and service, moderately priced. Cons: During Ramadan, order your food in advance or you will be waiting for a long time. more
