This is a nice sized museum considering the size of our town. They offer a variety of animal displays as well as numerous history displays to look at. There is a section of the museum dedicated to kool-aid as this is the birth place of the product and it is fun for kids and adults to see the progression of the product. There is also a planetarium offering showings at set times of day which is definitely a fun experience. Along with the museum is the Lied Imax theatre which rotates a variety of educational films and movies and provides you with a fun family experience. more

Extensive museum, great movie screen 8/4/2005

The Hastings Museum is a nice museum, especially for such a small town. They get some truly unique exhibits, featuring quality artists and displays. They have a movie screen that used to be an Imax but no longer is, so now they feature recent releases and recently first run films. So you can go and watch things like the most recent Star Wars or Lord of the Rings movie on this great screen. Or they also have the more traditional museum type movies, such as educational (but still very exciting) movies about things like caves, whales, etc. Since Hastings is the home of KoolAid, they also have a neat KoolAid exhibit, perfect for kids. more
