The only reason to go to Hastings, as far as I'm concerned, is for their decent selection of movies and music, which still isn't as extensive as a Best Buy or comparable store but currently beats most other places in Murfreesboro. Their book section, however, is fairly lacking. I generally check Hastings for a book only if I've already tried Books-a-Million (and I only head to Books-a-Million because the Barnes and Noble is yet to be finished) or if I happen to be in the area, and I am still usually disappointed. Also, the dirth of a membership discount service, as offered by similar stores (including Books-a-Million and Barnes and Noble), is a definite negative.
