We bought $200 worth of compost to fill raised beds to grow organic veggies. Delivery was set for 9am on a Sat. Hasties arrived around 7. They said their compost was 80% cedar and 20% forest humus, but it is full of pieces of plastic, particle board, and paint chips. We called a dozen times before they sent someone over to take a look. He scooped up several handfuls, agreed that it wasn?t right, and assured me that he was going directly from our house to his supplier. He promised to call the following day. After not hearing back from him we called and were offered their supplier?s contact information. We didn?t pay their supplier 200 hundred bucks; we paid Hasties! We talked to various managers who always promise to call back but never do. We have a six-month-old baby and we wanted his first solids to be organic veggies we grew, but instead the greatest satisfaction we can now get from this experience is to have someone learn from our mistake and shop elsewhere.
