Last night I stopped at a good auto parts store in Carrollton after my car overheated. I asked about a reliable repair shop in the area and was pointed to Harry T's. I was surprised, as I had gone there for Oil Change and Lube, and didn't realize that they did repairs. This morning I contacted a nationally known chain and they said it would cost $400-500 to replace the radiator and 3 hours. I drove first to Harry T's and asked. Aaron, the manager, along with his entire staff were very courteous. Aaron was able to complete the work in 1 1/2 hours for about 1/2 the price that I had been quoted elsewhere. I highly recommend Harry T's for any work that they can do (brakes, tuneups, radiator, etcetera). They also threw in a complete car wash (and vacuum) for free. The guys at Harry T's will make quick work of washing any vehicle. When I've been there, I've been happy with the results and have enjoyed my clean car. The prices seem to be about the same as any other car wash/detail shop. The staff is polite and some seem cheerful as they go about their work. However, sometimes some of the office staff and the car washers seem a bit elitist. If you aren't driving an expensive, new, or very popular car they may seem to have a slightly amused attitude that you would bring your car to them. My car isn't a junker but it isn't an expensive sports car either ... it's a 1999 Saturn. It's not 'trashed' but I also don't keep it spotless. Perhaps I'm being a bit sensitive, but I really do think the attitude that I perceive is real and not just a figment of my imagination.
