Came in with a coupon for an oil change for 19.00 and they said it would be 29.99 because my Camry took special oil. BS! Then they stole my Ipod, 5 winning lotto scratch offs (a...

A very happy camper 3/12/2011

Yes it has been a good while (about 10 years) since I've been to Harris Tire & Automotive (all at their old location 54th & K-stone)\r \r I have always gotten good service from them in the past. The vehicle they worked on mostly was a 1986 Ford Ranger P/U. I bought 2 sets of what I consider a generic tire (not Goodyear or a super name brand) but let me telll you I put 85K miles on both sets of these tires that were only rated at 65K. \r \r All my other service experiences were excellent as well. I will soon be going back to them w/an alignment issue. (Not on the Ranger - it's long gone) Sure hope Rocky & Tommy are still with Bill. more

Scam Artists 8/17/2009

Beware of these con men. I went in for an oil change and presented a coupon and asked if it was still valid and he said ?unfortunately?. I should have left right after that poor attitude but I just blew it off. The price for the oil change was $19.95 (before they pulled it into the garage). When the car was done they did the typical up-sales for air filter tire rotations etc. He then said it would be $34.99 I question the price stating that the price quoted was for $19.95 and he said in order to not void your warranty you need synthetic oil which is more expensive. My owner?s manual recommends regular 10W30 not synthetic oil. He should have asked me if I wanted the more expensive oil instead of just doing it. It was a load of BS just to make more money. I will NEVER go back and I will be sure to tell all of my networks to beware if they are considering this place. Pros: Somewhat fast Cons: Liars. Liars. Liars more

Good tires 6/20/2006

I have purchased tires from Harris on a couple of occasions. Mostly because they have a good selection of a lot of different brands, including Goodyear and Kelly tires. Their prices are a little high, but they usually run a coupon in the Val Pack mailers and they often have sales if you watch the papers. I have been happy with the quality of the products and service, and that I can usually get my car back quickly. I would use them again, but only after I shopped around and found out who had the best deal on new tires. more
