Harold's New York Deli

I do have to say the portion size was huge but the taste was something to be desired. I was very disappointed. We waited for 45 minutes to be seated and then was disappointed with the quality of food. I guess in this case Quantity won over Quality more

We visited this place last night, 30 Nov 2011 and what a big DISAPPOINTMENT!!! I thought this was a Jewish deli!!! The chicken soup was bland. I had pastrami and tongue, my husband had pastrami and they were tasteless. The reviews of this place are overhyped , like their overpriced food...unworthy of my hard-earned money. The waiter had an attitude, like he was there to stand around and do nothing. He throw the glasses of water on the table, instead of placing them on the table. Am I there to dine and enjoy what this place have to offer? Hell, yeah!!! But to come to a place full of service people with bad attitude and tasteless, overpriced, unfit to eat food is the last time Harold's at Edison con me out of my hard-earned money. more

if you've never been here.. you have to see the portions to believe it. When the menu says a certain item can feed 4 people... it really can. My family and I usually go and will all share a turkey dinner (thats 4 of us and 2 kids) and still have lots to take home. If that wasn't enough, they have an AWESOME pickle bar with rye bread for you to take. When I was pregnant with my son, I craved garlic pickles and the waitress actually packaged up a container of pickles to go (and didn't charge us). It's just an all around great place and the waitresses are super nice. Definitely come hungry and order the eclair (have u seen how big that thing is? lol). more

Great deli but the portions are HUGE! You better come hungry! They have a wonderful pickle bar with all sorts of pickles(my favorite are the half sours) Then the sandwiches. Last time, my husband and I ordered an open faced roast beef sandwich. It came on a huge platter and meat was stacked up about 10 inches high! Plus we got 2 potato pancakes, each the size of a dinner plate. Needless to say, we had roast beef sandwiches for lunch for the next couple days. The only problem with this place is that the portions are so big that you need to share. And sometime trying to agree on one sandwich isn't that easy! more

its a great deli i like the service at harolds and the food is just as good. if your looking for a sandwich or a nice dessert, then this is a good place to go.the open kitchen lets you have a look around and the tables are big enough to have people with you, its new york style and its just as good. more
