Great park for all seasons 10/10/2005

Harbor Island Park is a gem of Mamaroneck. It is the home of many events, fairs, festivals, carnivals and other fun things year round. It is a great place for picnicing and enjoying the view of the beautiful Mamaroneck harbor. Probably everyone's favorite time at Harbor Island Park is the July 4th week (two weeks around it) when the Fireman's carnival comes to town. Run by the Mamaroneck Fire department, it is fun for kids of all ages. more

Great spot in the heart of town 8/20/2005

I first visited Harbor Island Park in Mamaroneck for the 4th of July fireworks festivities last year. They were the best and longest display I've ever seen, and will probably ever see. I was extremely impressed with the size of the park, the marina at the end, and the sheer number of people relaxing on blankets taking it all in. What a great park! If you live in the area, or plan to spend any time there, check it out. more
