Happy Tails Pet Spa

Ok, I had to write a review on this business due to the fact that I think these reviews are written by the business themselves. I have been a groomer for over 12 years and also own a salon in a nearby city and have had several clients come to our store whose pets have been groomed by Happy Tails that we have had to fix. I have seen cuts that a blind monkey could do better. After having to fix so many cuts from Happy Tails I can now identify where a client had been previously due to the fact that haircuts produced from this salon or so terribly bad. I am not saying that the groomers are not nice people but they clearly do not know how to groom. I know they are inexpensive and it shows. If you look at the people that have reviewed this store they all have only reviewed Happy Tails, which I think is very fishy and they all reviewed through City Search, also fishy. What a lot of consumers do not know is that it is very easy to write false reviews about your own business and also easy (if you have time) to get voted best in Kane County falsely. I pulled up their reviews after a new client of mine said she went to Happy Tails because they had so many wonderful reviews and didn't understand why because the haircut was so bad. I am only writing this because I feel consumers should not use these reviews as a basis to go to Happy Tails. I am not writing this review to get clients either as I am not telling you who I am, but I do know that there are several grooming salons in the area that know how to groom much better and please make up your own mind and do not go by these supposed reviews. John takes such good care of his clients. He takes the time if they are nervous or scared. I was so disappointed when I had my dog groomed at petco and they gave me back my golden retriever Ricky back wet and said ""he didnt like the dryers"". If I wanted my house to smell like wet dog I would have bathed him myself. I also took my great dane Fiona there for her baths. They always come home smelling wonderful! What an awesome business, my dogs love it. John also has this great sense of humor. You can tell he loves the animals, but not Mother in laws, but hey whats wrong with that..ha Happy Tails recently recieved the Peoples Choice Award for the Best Groomer in Kane County so I guess somebody other than me likes the place. This Groomer will cut your dog how you like your dog to look...NOT like those chain grooming/pet supply stores. I took my yorkipoo in one of those and they shaved her bald. Happy tails gave her a great cut. Now Wrigley is cuddly again. Thanks! Pros: Groom your dog nicely! more

and a skunk. Bob and Spot are stinkers--really---they got skunked! They smell so much better now. The staff at Happy Tails bathed them a few times in the past three weeks. Gotta love those guys. I like taking Bingo my poodle to Happy Tails. The location is great and I like the ability to actually see where they do the grooming. I feel confident I am leaving my dog in good hands there. Pros: Nice open space and great service more

John groomed Conner so well! He looked just like he was suppose too--like a Schnauzer! I don't like those Pet Stores that think they are Groomers. Happy Tails is a nice grooming salon in St Charles, with Professional Grooming Staff. I rescued Snowball in July--she was a bit weary about going to the groomers. John groomed Snowball with care.\r You could just see how happy Snowball was when I picked her up. My puggle, Jasper, was able to run around the shop with the other dogs. He smelled so much better when I picked him up! PomPom gets excited to visit Happy Tails Pet Spa. She knows she gets to see her dog friends and comes home so happy--and a little tired from playing. It's hard to find grooming for cats. I love my Maynards Lion cut! He parades around the house so proud. Owner/Operator John did a great job! Bring your cats to Happy Tails! A quiet grooming salon near downtown St Charles. Can almost always get an appointment. The salon is clean and open to the public, no hidden vices here. Self baths are also available. Dog nails are $5. what a deal, which usually no waiting for the nail service. The owner, John does an excellent job especially on Schnauzers and Airdales.
