I am an American that has been to Japan about 20 times, and while Japanese food is not always my favorite, I enjoyed the food at this restaurant. I met a Japanese friend there for lunch. The restaurant is small but it was fine for a small lunch cafe. My friend had one of the sushi plate specials including miso soup and I had salmon donburi with udon soup. We both had hot green tea and shared some warm edamame. Everything was nicely prepared and had fresh taste. The prices were reasonable and the service was fairly quick. The menu inclues some basic appetizers like edamame, gyoza, tempura shrimp, eel; a variety of noodle dishes (udon, soba, ramen) with different meats or tofu; lunch specials (sushi, donburi, bento) ($7.50-$10.50, 6/2008); and some dinner plates (teriyaki, tokatsu, tempura, curry). I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting good Japnese food in a very casual environment at a reasonable price.
Pros: good quality/taste food at a reasonable price
Cons: small strip mall cafe
