Why is it that so many Chinese Restaruants have the word Panda in them? I have never figured this out.
Happy Panda is a small, unassuming restaurant near the Tanasbourne Shopping Center in Beaverton, on 185th.
Because I am generally cautious about where I eat I was a little nervous to try it out the first time. I probably would have never gone had a group of friends not invited me.
Let me just say that I'm glad I did.
Despite it's small size Happy Panda delivers big on taste. They have many of the traditional favorites, such as sweet and sour pork and orange chicken, and a few specialties of the house. The meals are large and meant to be shared. Even my husband, who is not a big Chinese food man, really liked the sauces they served.
Happy Panda also delivers. They can deliver smaller, individual meals or large trays for parties.
My only complaint with Happy Panda is that service is not always a priority. While the food is good and the people are friendly, sometimes I get the feeling they wished they were not as popular as they had become.
