No longer customers. 5/22/2008

I have never been moved enough to write a review, but Happy Family is a special case. My boyfriend and I were loyal patrons for years. The guy on the phone was always rude (not at all Happy) and food wasn't perfect, but it was decent enough for the prices. In the past 6 months not only have the prices gone up, but the service has also gotten worse, and the last straw was an order that they messed up. Needless to say, it took them an hour and 1/2 to travel the 5 minutes to fix the order, and I was so sick the next day that I had to call out of work AND go to an emergency clinic. We now go to Dragon Pheonix around the corner, which is a far more satisfying experience. Pros: Cheap Cons: Everything else more

Not Happy Family 11/13/2006

SUPER CHINESE! 6/30/2002

This is a new restaurant with incredible food. It's literally a hole in the wall, with one cracked table and leatherette stools held together with duct tape, but the food is outstanding. They've got the best Kung Pao, hot and sour soup, WorShu duck, fried wontons, mei fun and chow fun. I've ordered about 10 times and I've never had an 'off' meal. They are also well-priced, have speedy delivery, the food is fresh (they use real mushrooms, not canned), and they offer small portions of just about everything, including the Szcechuan meals.
