The animals love it! 10/2/2006

I've adopted two dogs from Happy dog and have wonderful experiences both times. My mother lives in North Georgia and has always brought her dog there for ( what she calls) spa days and boarding. The facilty is located on lovely woodsy lot and the dogs get to go outside and enjoy the (fenced, for their safety) great outdoors! The owners are friendly and responsible and give lots of love to all the animals. Pros: dogs love it, caring and safe enviornment, good value Cons: too far from Atlanta more

  • Hi my name is Jane Carpenter and I am the owner of Happy Dog Fat Cat Board and Bath. Our business exists because of the love of animals. The desire of all of us here at HDFC is that the pets staying with us be comfortable and happy. We all spoil our own pets regularly and do our best to meet the needs of the pampered pets that come stay with us. Happy Dog Fat Cat was established in 1997. I also have fifteen years experience as a veterinarian technician, formerly showed horses and dogs, have volunteered with several humane societies, and continue to be a lifetime rescuer of stray/injured animals. My own animal family includes 5 dogs, 6 cats, 5 fowl birds, 2 donkeys, 4 sheep, 7 goats, 2 pigs, and a lizard named Herman! You might also meet our kennel kitties, Joe cat and T-Rex. What I love most about this business are the pets and the people. Having a boarding kennel has been a longtime dream that the good Lord has blessed me with. Caring for animals is constant and continuous-and you have to have the heart for it. The heart of HDFC is always for the animals and their well-being. When the pets staying here are happy, then we are happy!
