Hands On House - great place to take the kids 11/3/2006

Hands On House Children's Museum ( http://http://www.handsonhouse.org/ ) in Lancaster makes learning about our surroundings fun. The museum has exhibits that incorporate the local economy ( agriculture - the financial aspect of running a farm, coal mining, fishing) into fun activities for the kids. Although the space seems small upon entry, I found that the space is laid out well. It was just enough activities to keep the kids entertained for 3 hours. more

Beats the please touch museum! 6/9/2006

Hands on museum was a great place for both my 3 year old and my 1 year old. They had a variety of interesting displays, and even on a Saturday, they were not overcrowded. Admission is reasonable at $6 a person. They have a whole outdoor garden to explore as well as a nature exhibit, trucks and tractors dress up and factory areas inside. We will definitely be making another trip to this place! more
