Han Lee's Taekwondo Academy

Our family overwhelmingly recommends anyone that is considering joining a martial arts class to come talk to Grandmaster Lee at Han Lee's Taekwondo Academy. I have not met anyone with his background that loves to work with kids more. He and all his instructors are amazing. My two children are more respectful and confident and are learning skills that will only better their future. more

""Cultivation of Exceptional Attitude"" This is the Place to be! I feel that I have to rebut the review of BurnedCustomer regarding Han Lee's Taekwondo Academy, (formerly U.S. Taekwondo Center). My family and I have been attending classes for over 3 yrs and I am amazed at the growth my family has experienced, the level of fitness we have achieved and the bond we have as a family unit...and that is an amazing feat in this day and age when teenagers seem to have a million other places to be other than with their parents! When we joined this center we made the 4 year commitment without hesitation. We understood the meaning of commitment and what a contract means. Just like anything else you commit to, buying a new car for example, if you finance it, you commit to paying for it, even if after a year you decide you don't like the color, you still have the commitment to pay it off, one way or the other. At one time we were worried about the monthly payment due to a job change and wondered how we were going to continue. Grandmaster Lee was wonderful in working with us and making sure we did not have the stress of worrying about our financial obligation to the center, all the while continuing with our training, once things settled down for us, we were able to get back on track. We have always been treated as family, not just another contract.\r We also love the fact that everything we do here is geared to our own personal best, not anyone else's and the instructors do challenge us, they make sure we are doing our personal best and not slacking off. They do this is by having us compete twice a year with our peers. It is amazing to see a kid who in a matter of a couple months goes from shy and introverted, to standing up in front of judges and show an amazing confidence in themselves. 99% of the time it's not about ability, it's about confidence, attitude and heart!\r As far as Grandmaster Lee teaching, he is here, he does care and I feel priviledged to have him as my teacher!\r Pros: Great instructors, Flexible Class times, Fair Pricing, Amazing Facility! more

Buyer BEWARE!! The owner is a mulit-millionaire and is only interested in making more money. The classes are huge and the attention is minimal. They do things other schools do not do such as manditory competitions that the students are required to pay extra for and where the same people win over and over, and you pay to loose. TKD is supposed to be an individual sport where personal best is the goal - not a competition. This is just one of the many ways the owner makes more and more money. They will talk you into his 3 year contract and promise many things, and when those things don't happen and you try to talk to him about it, you will hear over and over, ""You signed the contract."" He'll never let you out and you will be stuck making him richer. There are many other schools that offer more flexible contracts. Don't let this school trick you into their contract!!! BEWARE!!!\r \r Cons: Worst contract of any school, extra large classes, manditory conpetitions, lots of extra costs, owner rarely if ever teaches the students - just works to make more money more
