I was excited to find this vision provider. The website is excellent, office professional and state-of-the-art, Physician is extremely knowledgable and demonstrates impeccable skills. Unfortunately, the Optician did not explain additional options in regard to the glasses I purchased and did not obtain authorization for charges. She just arbitrarily added premium options to my eye glass order and when I went to the Office Manager upon departure I was informed I owed $260.00 which $205.00 was for additional charges for my glasses that were not explained nor authorized. The Physician instructed me to make an appt. 1 week later for a ""Contact Lens fitting"". This consisted of him giving me a pair of in stock trial lenses to try on. He had me look at letters on the wall and he looked at the lenses in my eyes. The appt. took minutes and when I was then instructed to make another appt. 1 week later again to pick up my contact lenses. (3 weeks to get Contact Lenses - ridiculous). When I got to the front desk I was informed that ""It was $100.00 for today"". When I questioned that charge, I was informed ""Insurance does not pay for follow up exams"". I was not informed of this charge when I was instructed to make the appt. When I called the office to address the $305.00 in ""surprise"" charges I was informed by the Office Manager that I ""Should have addressed my questions about the charges at the time"". She also spoke at the same time as me, which was unproductive, rude and elongated the conversation. I now need to return my glasses to have them re-made to remove the options I did not authorize and I still need to purchase my Contact Lenses. This provider is extremely expensive. Although I was assured that my not being informed of additional charges by two staff members was out of the ordinary, I did not get that feeling. Obviously, if I was informed the ""Contact Lens fitting appt."" was $100.00 there was a chance I would decline. I also feel most people would decline the addtional unnecessary options on the glasses. I chose frames that were covered by my plan and the lenses were covered as well, yet they cost me $205.00. They also charge $35.00 for an eye test that every other provider I have gone to includes in their examination fee. This was a great inconvenience and I am still not situated with glasses or Contact Lenses 3 weeks into the process.\r
If money is of absoultely no concern - this is the place for you. If you are a person who expects to have an explanation for charges, forthright communication and fair business practices - choose another provider.
