I was Dr. Hamilton's office manager/assistant for almost 8 years during the late 80's-early 90's. The only reason I left the clinic was that my husband and I were starting a family. Dr. Hamilton was a terrific vet! He never overcharged people and we did our best to help people in emergency situations (such as dogs hit by a car or emergency surgeries) who might not be prepared to pay at that time. I have many fond memories of Dr. Hamilton. \r My highest compliment is that he is a very sincere & genuine person in caring for his clients' animals. His job is helping animals and their families, he is not a doctor so he can "get rich". more

GREAT STAFF & DOCTOR 3/21/2008

Dr Hamilton and Staff are very caring people. They go above and beyond. When I had my Boston Terrier put down they were Great at such a bad time for me. My daughter took her dogs there and she felt they were rhe best ,they are out of state now so they can't use him anymore and liked him much more than who they have to use now.\r They even call back to see how my pets are after I have taken them in for Bee Stings when they have a reaction.\r I have sent my friends there (one today) and I have gone to other Vets. in Troy but would not recommend that vet. to my friend today Dr. Hamilton answers questions and doesn't act like your stupid and while giving shots he takes the upmost care with my animals.\r I do not feel the prices are to high also for all the treatment you get.\r They could charge more because of there great treatment but they don't. All around they make it a pleasant experience in an emotional time for a pet owner. I woul highly recommend them to anybody! more

She is always very caring and has been so wonderful to our 2 cats.\r Goes the extra mile. I highly recommend this vet. I agree with the other reviews that the prices are fine too. more

Honest and Compassionate Vet 7/13/2006

I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Hamilton for over 20 years. He is always forthright and honest. He definitely cares about the animals and is good with their owners also. His staff is equally empathetic. You feel like you are talking to a "friend" when you call. \r \r When we had to have our first dog put to sleep, they all were so understanding and kind. When my elderly father's pet was killed by a much larger dog, the staff cared so much, they even called him at home to see if he was okay. \r \r Dr. Hamilton always takes time to explain procedures and to answer questions. Caring and Compassionate 3/26/2006

I've used Dr. Hamilton for the last 20+ years for the dogs that I have had. He is a great vet, very caring. And he explains every detail so you understand what might be wrong (or right) with your furry companion, and what the course of action should be to get the pet well again. PROS: Great Vet CONS: Hours and making appts. for "emergency" visits. more

Nice Place for Animals 12/22/2005

I have taken my cat here in the past and I have been very happy. The staff was very kind and friendly. They did a great job making sure my fluffy was not upset and the staff was very caring towards the cat. They did the best they could to make sure she wasn't scared. I felt like we received a full treatment and I think the price was worth the attention she received. more

The BEST!!! 6/6/2005

Dr. Hamilton & his staff are the greatest. I've had many pets & he has taken care of them all. I had a 20 year old mixed breed little dog that became very ill & the whole staff was so caring when I had to put her down. They took very good care of my 20 year old cat too. God Bless this WONDERUL & caring staff. more
