I went to the Kendall Eye Institute and loved Dr. Hamburger. He was smart, nice, and answered all my questions. He is specializes in difficult eye problems, but does not do surgery. He is affiliated with the best surgery center in Florida, the Rand Eye Institute, and referred me there for my cataract surgery and multi-focal implant. I had a great result! It is nice going to the Kendall Eye Institute for an opinion regarding surgery because Dr. Hamburger can be objective and tell you whether you really need it or not, because he is not the one doing the operation! Once he refers you for surgery, he sends you to the best. The staff is nice and the office is clean. But do not make the doctor upset by getting a second opinion, his un-professionalism is appalling. Getting a second opinion is your right, especially if jumping immediately into surgery seems drastic to you. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone!
