Absolute worst Chinese restaurant in the area. Order anywhere but here!! Our delivery order was wrong, and they did not correct it! After waiting over two hours for the delivery guy that we were assured was ""on the way"" we drove the food back to the restaurant. They refused to refund our money. After another hour, so three hours after we told them the order was wrong, their delivery guy showed up with food....it was cold. I would avoid this place like the plague!!! more

Friendly Service & Fantastic Food 2/20/2009

Having tried many other Chinese restaurants in the mid cities area, I can honestly say this one takes the cake. Driving by its certainly a diamond in the rough, but worth a try whether in person or via delivery. I'm so addicted that I order delivery from them once a week. The sweet owner guy even knows me by my voice which in this day and age is a welcomed pleasantry. The delivery is super fast and always hot. The food, 99% of the time is perfect, and even when less than perfect it's still fantastic. Pros: fantastic food, nice owner, fast delivery Cons: slightly lacking vegetable mix in meals like sweet & sour chicken more

i have been going there with my husband for 5 years now and i have never had any bad food... the egg drop soup is amazing and my husband loves the combo fried rice. We eat there at least bi -weekly and you never have to wait long for anything.... just about the time you finish your soup the main course is there... i am looking forward to taking my dad there soon... also if you like this place you will love los majecties... cant spell but its the mexican food place in the albertsons parking lot at beach and western center.... there food is great also more

Our favorite Chinese food in DFW! 12/30/2008

We've been dining at Haltom Chinese for about 20 years and haven't found better Chinese food anywhere in the DFW area. The family of owners are friendly and welcoming. The wait staff are gracious and responsive, in fact they know our order by heart. Our picky kids like it. It is a place our large family likes to gather for special occasions. We highly recommend Haltom Chinese. more

Wonderful food. I've been coming here since the 90's and the food and atmosphere are great. The man at the front is very sweet, just like the other reviewer's have stated. more

Delicious! 3/13/2008

I've been going to Haltom Chinese kitchen since they openend in the original back in the 80's. They make the best fresh chinese food that you can find. This is not a buffet so you will be getting hot food. They also make the best egg drop soup I have ever tasted. They provide the best service you will ever find. That so so friendly they make you feel at home. They are very fast too! Pros: everything Cons: nothing more

I'll have to agree with the person above. The food is wonderful and it's topped off by interaction with the owner who is quite possibly the sweetest little man I've ever met. They are great for delivery too! Pros: Always enough to bring home for later! Cons: Can't think of any... more

The food is great.. the prices are great.... the ambience is sweet..... but I usually come to Haltom Chinese because the owner is such a nice guy.. He is a sweet little chinese fellow who always greets you with a big smile and is way over-the-top in being accomodating and polite... he gives you a few quick little bows and smiles so much that you cant help smiling with him.... I come here whenever I feel down... it really cheers me up... makes me feel better when i leave..... i love the happy chinese guy! Pros: The Happy owner!!, Good food / price, makes you happy! Cons: sometimes crowded more
