Halls Ferry Inn

We have been going to Halls Ferry Inn for over 20 years. A couple of years ago I would have given them 5 stars easy. The food was always great with good friendly service with more than great pizza. Last time we got pizza it was not a good. The pizza didn't even fill the pan. I have also noticed and change in service. If you get a good waitress it's great if not you're in trouble. more

waited over an hour for a pizza that at best could be described as mediocre. server was sloppy and gruff. when another table looked at her expectantly waiting for their meal, instead of saying ""i'm sorry its taking so long"" she yelled ""i know, I know"" across the room at them. also, the prices on the online menu are not accurate. everything on the actual menu was at least $2 higher. $10.50 for a plate of 5 greasy mushrooms is ridiculuous. even if the food were free, it was not worth the wait and the attitude. i will not go back. i guess there is a reason that the positive reviews here came from the family that owns the joint. what a joke. more

I've been here SEVERAL TIMES. The food is pretty darn good. I love the HFI Salads and Stuffed Mushrooms.. they're a must. Today, I went with my family, and we had a young waiter, she NEVER checked on us, we waited over an HOUR to get our food. Why? The waitress lost our ticket, and messed up other peoples order, she wasn't going to do anything about it either, she ignored us, we flagged a older waitress down from the bar area, and she said they were busy thats why it was taking so long (it wasn't crowded)... Come to find out our waitress lost our ticket, so we had to wait for them to cook our food, and the food wasn't even great, the older waitress got everything sorted out, and gave the waitress a little reality check, apparently the two waiters working the restaurant part were new and they were just kids. I want to know WHY they would schedule two kids who are new to work on mothers day.... I will defiantly eat something before I come back here again just to be sure. And I gave my tip to the older waitress, she was helpful. Maybe that will teach our waitress a lesson. :) Pros: Yummy Food Cons: The lack of waiters, the attitudes more

halls ferry inn is a family buisness. i should kno, my dad owns it. my family is a big part of the resturant. we enjoy every one and make sure that if you need refills, you got refills, if you would like an extra side of fries, u got an extra side of fries. the pizza is to DIE for. all of my friends only come to the resturant for one thing : the pizza! trust me and evryone else, and if you dont trust my cousins who eat there evry night wen they fly in from detroit. try it please!! I've lived in Florissant my entire life... and I actually used to work at Halls Ferry Inn, back in 2004-2005. I was a server, and YES the food is great!! The fettucine alfredo is by far the best alfredo sauce ever, however make sure you request that Jerry himself make the sauce. Its phenomenal. The staff is friendly, and it does give you a ""homey"" atmosphere. more

I have been eating at the Halls Ferry Inn for nearly 30 years and this restaurant is a legend in St. Louis with being in business 1967. If you want Pizza, this is the best Pizza in town. The best thin crust, loaded with topping pizzas you can find. Another specialty is The Halls Ferry Inn salad that has the special ""house"" dressing that is delicious. The service is nothing less than excellent, and friendly. The atmosphere is quiet and they can accommodate any size parties just about anytime. The restaurant is easy to find and close to anywhere, located on North Lindberg Blvd (Hwy 67) . Highly recommended to anyone who wants great food and great service.
