We had Halls Drywall do a room in our basement. They were timely, clean and neat. They were competitive in their pricing. They did a great job EXCEPT when it came to the finish work. When you pay for a room to be done you expect to be able to walk in and paint it when the job is done. There were many areas with bubbles and pits and a few gouges. Every corner had deep grooves in them. We called to have the areas fixed and the father (who does the finish work) came back once, very briefly, to fix the areas. My fiance was supposed to circle/mark the problem areas. Only half of them were even addressed. We called again to say that not all of the areas had been fixed. They did not come again and never returned our calls. Thank goodness that my fiance had a background in building as he went out and bought some drywall tools/mud and fixed the problems himself. We offered to Halls to return us 10% of the cost of the job to make the situation right and we have not heard from them again, except for a rude voicemail left on my cell phone.
