Oh, how we love our half-price book store. Not just because of the fantastic deals on books but because of an attitude that they bring to book selling. Two illustrations came to mind when I pulled up their website just now -- the deletesensorship.org button on their home page and the plug for the importance of reading to your child on the children's page. Oh...and if your bookshelves are filled to overflowing and the piles of books on the floor are getting harder to maneuver around...they also buy books. (So you can feed your clear book obsession.) What I find funniest about them...books by the yard for those who just want to look like they read... more

Half Price Books 11/22/2005

If your looking for a craft book, but you don't want to go out and buy one for 29.99, then Half Price Books is the place to shop. They carry books, magazines, CDs, and movies at half the price they were origionally sold at. If your selling though, I wouldn't recommend it because they buy your books, cds, etc for cheap. I just recently brought in 9 used cds and got about 4 dollars for them. more

Need music CDs, VHS tapes, DVD movies, or just some good books? If so then Half Price is the store for you. They mark 50% off of the cover price of books which equals great savings for you. They have so many great books, records, CDs, and other media that you will no be disappointed. more

Great staff, books for lower price 7/26/2005

Half Price Books in Brookfield buys and sells used books, cd's, dvd's, records, vhs tapes, etc. They pay you in cash for your items. Their prices are reasonable. They carry a huge selection of books, both new and used. I can find most items I am looking for at this store. Store is divided into categories just like a regular bookstore so items are easy to find. Their staff is knowledgeable about many authors and can you find what you need. more
