Love this place... 4/15/2006

I am currently restricted from entering half-price books because I can't leave without taking more books with me than I ever take in. It's a great concept, go in and sell books you're done with and get a few bucks. Unfortunately, by the time I get to the cash register, I have exceeded my credit and bring home more books than I have room for. Seriously, though, they have clearance books as low as a dollar or two, and there's always something interesting to be found. more

I could spend hours here 3/25/2006

Half Price Books is a perfect haven for me - lots of books (many of them new or at least in great shape) at bargain prices. Half Price Books has books, magazines, CDs, and even some gifts, stationery, and knicknacks. The selection at Half Price Books is very wide, particularly for the books that are in new condition. I always leave with at least one thing! Ask for a calendar at the beginning of the year - they always have some coupons that are good throughout the year. The only downside to Half Price Books is that the few times I tried to sell books to them, they don't give very much money for things - I made more money selling my books on Half.com. But as a buyer, it's a booklover's dream! more

GREAT BOOKS GREAT PRICES 7/31/2005

This place is not just books its cds dvds stationary and magazines. The prices are the best in town. Plus they will buy your old books and other media. I love to check out their used magazines. They also have a wide variety of art books which i really enjoy. Their are 3 or 4 locations in Cincinnati. The stores are always well keeped and orgainzed. more

Great place to buy used books 6/15/2005

I could spend a whole afternoon in Half Price Books. They have great prices, especially if you check out the clearance shelves near the front entrance. The store is cozy and the staff is kind and helpful. The only drawback to Half PRice Books is that you need to come armed with the title and author of the book if you are looking for one in particular. The staff cannot look it up for you, so you are kind of out of luck. They also have back issues of many different magazines for like $.98. Great place! more
