Watch for the sale days! 10/13/2006

I agree with what everyone else said, but I wanted to add that they have sale days where everything is an EXTRA half off. Those are the best! We have purchased Christmas presents for LOTS of people here and have saved a lot of money. You can got someone twice as many books (or cds or whatever) by shopping here than you can by buying them new. I highly recommend it. more

Great deals 7/6/2006

Half Price Books has a large selection of books at a big discount, often much cheaper than half price. They have music, movies, calendars, software and some other miscellaneous things. Also, you can sell your stuff there (though you won't get very much). Items are separated by category but beyond that it's a matter of looking through all of them to find what you want. They don't have a computerized inventory so if you're looking for something specific, you're pretty much on your own. It's much more fun to just browse around and happen to find stuff that looks interesting. more

Half the organization too 4/13/2006

I try to stop by Half Priced Books a couple times a month to check out the mark downs and see what new. It’s a good place if you are just looking for material in general and not specific terms. Because they don’t have a great system for organizing books, sometimes it can be hard to find books you are looking for. For example, books on eating disorders might be in both the self improvement section and also the women’s books section. However, all in all, great deals on books, and other media can be found here. more

Great Selection and Great prices 11/23/2005

I shop here several times a month as they have a great selection with awesome prices and something for everyone! Their staff is extremely helpful and courteous! I read alot od spiritual books ie Wicca and Angels, etc and have a hard time finding these at decent prices or even used ones, but Half price always has something new (newly used) for me to grab! more

Don't let yourself get overwhelmed by the selection at Half Price Books. If you allow yourself some decent time, you can find some great items here at great pricing!! You can also bring back some of your old books and cd's to sell to the store for a decent price. This store is a classic place with an unusual selection. more

great prices 9/15/2005

Half Price Books definitely has really good prices. They are not very organized though and there is stuff all around. If you just want to find something to read it's a great option though, because you won't find it cheaper unless you go to the library. My dad always finds a few things when he goes here, and he loves a bargain! more

great prices-no order 8/31/2005

if you are looking for a specific book that you know is gonna cost you alot more at another place than go here. otherwise keep shopping becuase the place can be a little overwhelming with nothing where you look. horrible buy back prices-give it to charity youll do much better. I have gotten some things there before at great prices and as long as you dont mind a little used its good. there are new books too so for a bestseller try it out. more

Wide Selection, Can't beat the prices 8/17/2005

I am always surprised what I find when I go into Half Priced Books. I rarely leave having purchased only what I went in to get. They have a ton of books and about ten times the selection you get at a mall bookstore. You really can't find a better place to get kids books and the one on Lane Avenue has a lot of great books that are more academic in nature if you need something like that. They give you a decent amount for books/music if you want to sell it to them and its nice to knock a few dollars off an already low price by bringing in something for someone else to enjoy. more

Books for the whole family! 8/13/2005

We really enjoy visiting Half Price Books. It is a great place to visit and take your time browsing the selection. They always have a wonderful selection of new and used books for sale as well as DVDs, CDs and other items. I haven't done it yet but you can take your books there to sell to the store. The stock is always changing and different so you will need to visit often to find the best deals. I especially like the selection of children's books and DVDs. This store is located on Lane Avenue close to OSU campus. It is a convenient location for most of Columbus. more
