Hale Lea Medicine is the central initiative of KCHA, providing quality medical healthcare to Kauai's north shore communities.
The clinic serves Haena, Wainiha, Hanalei, Princeville, Kilauea, Anahola and parts of Kapaa, handling approximately 10,000 patient visits per year.
Disappearing community access to primary care medicine is a serious national problem. Kauai's north shore alone has seen 5 of 7 primary care clinics shut down since the year 2002. Uninsured and underinsured patients represent yet another challenge to healthcare delivery. Hale Lea medicine represents a major point of access for our community's healthcare system, and strives to address these issues in several creative ways.
