I was travelling along California One and I was confused by my google map so I stopped at Halcyon Post office and a delightful lady called Lynda gave me perfect directions with a smle and charm which money could not buy. If this is what the American welcome is about I love it. She said she might be coming to holiday in my home country, Ireland. She with her wonderful post office manner would be welcome any time. more

best gift shop and post office anywhere 10/9/2006

not only does this awsome little gift shop have the most unique and hard to find originals on hand, but it also hosts a Post Office(since 1906), with never a line in sight.The owner is great and so are the staff,although we do miss the man who used to work there.....He was always quick to make us smile. Pros: selection of unusual item and service more
