Amazing and professional... 4/21/2008

A huge thank you to Sharon for the wonderful experience in her chair! It is so difficult to find a color specialist who can also cut so expertly! Reading past reviews about how you listen to what your client wants gave me hope -- and you more than surpassed that hope. I love my hair again thanks to you! Sharon is such a talented colorist and stylist... She always knows exactly what I want (however confusing my explanation :-) ) and has the best instincts on what will look the best for you. I love her! I was scared to let anyone do my hair when I moved to LA and didnt know who was good... then I found her and its the best my hair has ever been! more

Best cut and color in town! 7/9/2007

Mark (owner) & team have createc a beautiful space where they give the best cuts, colors and glosses in town. Being on the "other side of the hill" allows them to give the same or better service you would receive in BH or WeHo but without the inflated prices. The "loft" is upstairs with a very contemporary, clean and cosmopolitan atmosphere. You will leave feeling and looking fabulous! So nice and great cut! 6/21/2007

I have seen Sharon a few times now and the result is always great! She has to be one of the nicest and competent stylist I have been to in the LA area. I have thick curly hair that can tend to be difficult for stylist, but she has never had a problem. She knows just how to cut and style it to my liking. As someone in the industry I work with stylists on a weekly basis and I have yet to come across someone who is as well rounded as Sharon. She has great style, technique, and an extremly good attitude. I would recommend her to any friend! Pros: Love the ambience at the loft and both the owners and stylist are all very friendly! Great hair dresser 6/16/2007

I have gone to Sharon several times and I am always very satisfied with my hair. She listens extremely well and does what I want versus what she thinks would look best, which is very important to me. Last time I saw her I decided to try a different hair style and she executed what I wanted perfectly. more

Great Color! 5/12/2007

This commet is way over due!! I had my hair colored by Sharon sometime in july /august of last year . SInce then, I moved around and it is soooo hard to find a good stylist! I am very picky with my blonde color. I am a natural blonde, but I like to go a little lighter with dark blonde lowlights. She picked out a great combination of colors for my hair. I loved it. She listens to your ideas then she adds her own. She really knows what she is doing! I felt completely comfortable with her. Since then ,I haven't been able to get a great color that matched hers. I just recently got back into town and I will be calling her! Pros: Great hair style Cons: Parking can be a pain, a little pricy more

I also went to Sharon according to the great reviews here. I came off the chair looking and feeling soo much more beautiful than when I had first walked in. She highlighted my hair according to what she believed would look good on me and achieved the color I was looking for. My highlights look very natural. She is a sweet and genuine person and proved to me that a color specialist really does exist, since I had previously had disastrous results with others. Highly recommened and would definitey go back and refer my girlfriends!! If you want constant compliments on your hair, Sharon is the one!! Pros: beautiful, celebrity-like hair!! Cons: none more

I went to Sharon at the Loft because of the Citysearch reviews. The reviews were right. She's terrific. She's friendly and great at what she does. She totally listened to what I wanted and the haircut is great. The Loft is a good salon with a nice environment. more

High quality hair styles 2/15/2007

If you want a high quality stylish haircut and color you walked into the right place with Sharon. Not only is she nice to look at but she is also very polite and patient. She takes her time with you and makes sure she knows exactly what you are looking for in a look. I had my share of $300 dollar haircuts and color and I must admit that Sharon has beat them all. I've been to her twice already and plan on making her a keeper. The best thing about the way she works is her accuracy with styles and cuts. I sat in on one of her "customize your haircut" sessions where at the end of my haircut she turned me around to see what I thought. I was going for a choppy look so she told me to to point out places around my head where I wanted it more cut or styled. I loved the experience it made me feel free and safe at the same time. There certainly is a sense of security when you are allowed to touch your own hair during a haircut session with your hairdresser. The next day I had a photoshoot and my makeup artist as well as my photographer complimented me on my hair color and cut. It made me feel HOTTTT!!!!!!!!!!! YEA!!!! more

Each time i've had Sharon cut and/or color my hair I have been 100% satisfied. I did a random search on google and found her and haven't been to another stylist since. She listens to what I want (exactly) and always gives me what I envisioned. I highly reccommend her if you're looking for a fantastic cut and color :) Pros: Everything! Cons: Nothing! more

Truly talented stylist! 1/22/2007

I went to Sharon for a cut and color this past weekend and I am 100% happy with the results! I had recently had a really bad experience with scary highlights and a terrible haircut, so I was nervous about picking a new stylist. On top of that, I had only a vague idea of what I wanted in terms of a haircut. Sharon was able to help me choose a beautiful color that really looks better than natural (which is what we always hope for, right?) and she did a fantastic haircut, too. I went in with bangs that I was trying to grow out (and hating every minute of them) and Sharon actually made them look good! It was really nice to be in the hands of a stylist who is so attentive to her clients and pays such close attention to detail. She deserves all of these great reviews! Pros: everything! Experienced hairdresser who listens! 11/17/2006

Sharon's great. I've been to her twice for haircuts and what stands out most is how you can feebly try to explain your vision and she'll create exactly what you wanted. She's very good at listening to exactly what you want and cutting to the length you're comfortable with (unlike many hairdressers where you say an inch and they take a mile). She's very friendly, personable and sweet. She's also a stickler for getting the cut just right, and really takes her time with each client to make you look your best. Sharon's also got a great memory, esp. good if you're like me and can't make it to the salon every 2 months... she takes the time to write down what she did for you each time, and I was surprised by how much she remembered about me even though I saw her months ago as a first-time client. I am so happy with the phenomenal job Sharon did. She is by far the best hairdresser I have ever been to. She is the sweetest but at the same time very professional. She colored and cut my hair and I was completely satisfied. Im going to get my hair extensions in a week, and I can't wait!! more

Great men's stylist 10/25/2006

Sharon did an excellent job, I highly recommend her for men's cuts. I'm used to stylists using clippers on my hair, but Sharon paid close attention to the shape of my hair and used scissors only to give me one of the best haircuts I've had in a long time. Thanks Sharon! Pros: Very accomodating, listens carefully to needs. Cozy salon space too. more

Sharon's the best! 10/3/2006

Aside from being absolutely adorable, Sharon sure knows what she's doing when it comes to hair. I've been going to her for a few months now and I have never been the slightest bit dissatisfied. My hair is thick, it grows fast and in a swirlie around my head so sometimes it can be hard to style. Sharon fixes all that, and I get compliments on the cut everytime. Also, Sharon is hot stuff and she's a real sweetheart. Seriously she could tell me she's going to shave half my head and fade in a Q on the other side and I would probably just sit there and purr. (I digress) Anyways, the cuts are afordable and well worth the trip to Sherman Oaks so GO SEE HER! You won't regret it! more

I moved to Los Angeles 2 years ago and was blessed to quickly find an excelent hair stylist. I'm from Texas, so my hair has been through a whirlwind of changes. So when I first went to Sharon, it was a big frizzy mess. Since then she has transformed it into a natural color that I love and helped me to find the right lenght with her beautiful cuts. COLOR CORRECTION BY A CREATIVE DETAILED STYLIST!!! 9/18/2006

When I found Sharon my hair needed lots of help. I have medium brown hair with blonde highlights. My hair problems started one Friday night... My friend & I thought it would be okay if she would touch up my blonde highlights.. It turned out to be a true nightmare. So the next day my hair was copper redish color, with nasty blotches of orange everywhere. I felt so terrible!! So I went to a hair dresser that tried to fix the problem, he put dark blonde all over (which turned my hair green) then he put bleach to back on it to brighten some darker areas (which melted parts of my hair)... Then to top it off he cut my bangs I was growing long without even asking. So for weeks I had no choice (I felt if anything else... my hair would fall out b/c of the such bad condition).. Finally long story short. I found Sharon here on city search and she fixed everything. The rest is history!!! Ever since she did my hair it feels great. And I would highly recommend her to anyone!!! Finally! Natural looking highlights 9/13/2006

When I made an appointment with Sharon, the receptionist asked what I wanted done - I said "I don't know... I want good hair." I wanted natural looking blonde highlights, but everywhere I had gone before, I never got the look I wanted. I don't like the streaky look, I wanted NATURAL looking color - but no stylist could seem to give that to me. With highlights, lowlights, and toner, Sharon made my hair believably blonde. I had more compliments on my hair in the next week than I had all year. One person said it best "I don't know what you did to yourself - but you look great." My hair made a difference in my overall appearance but didn't stand out and scream at people. Exactly the look I wanted. more
