Great family, and great food 2/23/2008

I just read the slander-filled comment about Hai Hong Restaurant in Ithaca, although it was written a couple of years ago, I wanted to comment. The family that owns Hai Hong in college town is definitely NOT the same as the place downtown. The restaurant is clean, the food delicious, and the family quite reputable. I have known them for years, because I was a server at the State Street location for over five years. I think that when others are posting comments, they should really get their facts in order. Times are hard for businesses, and that sort of negativity is wrong and can interfere with the livelihood of hard-working people. more

Best Chinese food in Ithaca 2/15/2008

I like this place. Sure, the ambiance isn't anything special, but it's certainly about the norm for lower-priced Ithaca eating. The quality of the ingredients used here seems to be a bit higher than other Chinese food eateries in town, and the service has always been friendly and fast. Mediocre Chinese food and a forgettable experience 7/15/2006

The food was mediocre at best and overpriced for the quality. The service was average and the ambiance was poor (they have moved since I ate there so they may have improved the aesthetic). I was thoroughly disappointed and have not gone back. more

Food here is excellent. I would especially recommend it for lunch as the prices are a bit lower but the food just as good. Hands down Hai Hong is the best chinese food in Ithaca. Get there and have a great meal! Pros: located in the heart of Collegetown more
