Tastiest Korean BBQ in Los Angeles 5/15/2012

Dang! This korean bbq restaurant is my new absolute favorite kbbq in L.A. They have bomb-ass kalbi (short ribs, marinated to perfection) and their beef brisket (chadol) and Canadian pork belly (sam gyup sal) are soo scrumptious. This place is popular and always seems to be packed....had to wait over 1 hour to get a table. But was well worth the wait. I'd advise getting there early to grab a table without the long wait. 19 items all you can eat - $17.99. Great deal considering all the different items and hearty portions of meat they keep bringing out until you say stop. Save room for the oh-so-delicious kimchi fried rice at the end! more

Best Dang Korean BBQ in L.A. 11/2/2011

Wow, I'm impressed! Hae Jang Chon lives up to all the hype as being the top Korean BBQ restaurant in Koreatown Los Angeles. They are tops for good reason too. Sure you do have to wait an hour or two to get the privilege of eating to your heart's content all the meat you can handle. But this restaurant offers something special, besides being honored the best most delicious bargain in all of Southern California by Los Angeles Times. They serve 19 items for their all you can eat menu! And that even includes marinated short ribs, which if you checked in the market lately, is expensive! Most Korean bbq places do not include kalbi in their all you can eat menu because it's way too expensive, they usually offer the lesser meats. But not Hae Jang Chon. Wow, I'm impressed, did I mention that? I'm officially a regular. more

Amazing Korean BBQ - Great Variety and Price 6/26/2011

I love this all you can eat Korean bbq restaurant! It's by far the best one in Los Angeles and in Koreatown. Nothing else compares! First of all, they include marinated and unmarinated short ribs (kalbi) in the 19 item all you can eat menu option which goes for a paltry $16.99! I don't know how they can make money charging so little for so much meat! The marinated kalbi is amazing, the Canadian pork belly is tasty with the dipping sauces, the Black Angus beef brisket is tender and juicy and even their BBQ chicken is good! I usually pass on chicken, but I tasted some here and it was surprisingly mouth watering and delicious. I was so stuffed after our hour and a half kbbq meat fest, but couldn't resist trying some of their famous kimchi fried rice afterwards. It is as tasty and scrumptious as everybody says it is. Wow! Next time I'll save some room for this signature fried rice. The wait staff here is friendlier and attentive than at most Korean restaurants and the atmosphere inside is very pleasant and hip. All in all, my new fave all you can eat Korean barbecue restaurant in Los Angeles. Love it! more
