Friendly people, great food! 9/20/2007

Great food, the people are so friendly! The Flafel is simply the best, and the lamb kabobs are amazingly good. Overall, a great experience. The place is small, but homey...not dark and dreary at all like someone else described. I'd go again! more

Excellent Food! 7/19/2007

I couldn't disagree more with the previous review. I have been going to Habibi's for 17 years now and it is one of the best, most authentic Lebanese/Middle Eastern restaurants around. Although the restaurant does lacks ambiance, the food is excellent, fresh and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend Habibi's food to anyone looking for good Middle Eastern food. more

Dark, cheerless dive serving terrible shawarma 8/26/2006

This establishment is a dark, cheerless dive in a supermarket-anchored strip mall. The proprieters and staff struck me as gruff, sullen and despondent -- not a smile to be seen anywhere in the place. The shawarma (Arabian version of gyros) I ordered was surprisingly sour and lacked the typical -- or for that matter, any -- spices. It was possibly the least appetizing shawarma I have had anywhere on the planet. Further, the accompanying tzatziki sauce was runny and the overall price steep. There appeared to be no sign of the grandparent-like characters with stories of old Lebanon mentioned with such affection by the previous reviewer. I made a special trip to this place -- which is well off the beaten track -- and was very thoroughly disappointed. Pros: Plentiful parking Cons: Tasteless, low quality shawarma; dark, cheerless ambience; gruff staff more

This mom 'n pop place is one of those which makes you feel like you're visiting family..delicious homemade food served with love by the owners themselves..you even get to hear little stories about life in Beirut. It was definitely a fun experience and my Husband and I plan to return often. more
