I've used H & R Block for my past three tax returns--I am math illiterate and I had three jobs for which to file. Too confusing!
This H & R Block is open during tax season, and then it remains closed. If you require full time assistance, the H & R Block on Ridgewood Avenue is open all year.
Even with an appointment, you are going to wait for awhile before getting service. However, I feel it is worth the wait because the accountants are friendly and driven to get you every single tax break they can. I learned more about what I am able to deduct as a result of meeting with their staff.
They are able to handle standard and more complex tax returns. H & R Block also offers information and assistance with investing money and buying a home.
I paid well over $100 for my tax returns to be electronically filed by my H & R Block representative, but it was great to have the peace of mind knowing that my taxes were done correctly.
