This is seriously the best sushi i've ever had in Dallas, very fresh fish, tasty ingredients and pretty presentation. The steak was also perfect in every way imaginable . Top quality in taste and consistency. Waitstaff were knowledgeable and attentive.I'm definately going to make this a group hangout spot since the restaurant has a cool eclectic vibe and not to mention a great wine list to choose from. I would highly recommend this place to family and friends. I so look forward to my next visit!! more

This place is so much fun for the whole family - from the flair shows to the fresh sushi and teppanyaki, we were pleasantly surprised. We have one vegetarian in the family and she gives Hibashi a thumbs up too for their griddled veggies. more

Hibashi won't dissapoint! 8/2/2011

I have lived in Dallas for 40 years and have seen some great restaurants come and go, and Hibashi is one of the best restaurants to come to Dallas in years! Does anyone remember Royal Tokyo on Greenville Avenue? Hibashi is reminiscent of them in the quality of their food and the taste. Their food is ALWAYS so fresh tasting and very flavorful without being salty. I am not a sushi fan, but most of my friends are and they say their sushi is amazing too! The location is the only downside of this restaurant simply because it's hard if not impossible to see from the Tollway if you aren't on the southbound service road. I have been eating here since they opened and have been so worried they might not make it simply because their location is not the greatest, but they seem to be hanging on! I have never had to wait for a teppan grill table at lunch or dinner and the service is great...they are very friendly from the moment you walk in the door. If you love great hibachi and sushi, then Hibashi is a no brainer. Once you try it, you'll be hooked! I even find myself getting food to go occasionally from the teppan grill because I need my fix!!!! Try it, you'll like it:-) more

I love Hibashi! I have been going since the day it opened and it is still my favorite restaurant in Dallas. Caris is the best bartender and is so attentive. I love love the Heart Attack and the drink specials are amazing. The Rainbow Roll and the new Devil Roll are wonderful too. more

a mixed bag but still a fun place 1/15/2010

Hibashi is a fun place that is more about the experience than the cuisine. They do feature creative martinis and extensive sake options but the wine list is both limited and overpriced. As for the sushi itself, the nigiri was oversized, almost to the point of losing its delicacy, and it did not adhere to the rice very vell. There are a number of rolls to chose from, though, ranging from very good (spicy tuna, maui, baked eel) to just OK (fat man). The "King Kong" role was a nice twist on Bulkogi (marinated beef) and definitely worth a try; however the rice on the pulverized Ahi tower was undercooked. Overall this is a festive place to go when it's more about being seen than being fed. Pros: creative martinis and rolls Cons: clunky nigiri and limited/overpriced wine list more

I HATE ASIAN FOOD 11/3/2009

I hate Asian food until I ate here. What is really bad is that when I eat at other places they don't compete with this great place and some are even more over priced. I love being able to get takeout and when I'm with my kids take them into Hibashi and they love two things. One the grea chefs who have fun with them and two the kid soda drinks. They are a little pricey cause you pay for each bottle but kids love them. Great for families. I LOVE HIBASHI'S. more

Been there few times , love to seat at the sushi bar ,everything are good , i mean the fish are fresh , rolls are interesting , only the drinks are a little bit pricey , and always take long time to get it ...but other than that the rest is very nice .My girlfriend love the special roll make by chef kenny, remember to look for this guy when you go to the restaurant, very creative and funny , overall this is a nice restaurant !! WOW! Best sushi in town 12/22/2008

I love this place. First inpression was WOW!! great atmosphere, beautiful inside and great food. I have never had better sushi anywhere in anyplace. I'm sure people will be very surprise that Dallas has best sushi restaurant. I would like to recommend anyone to meet sushi chef Kuma and Kenny. They are fun and best sushi man in town. I already orderd sushi for this Christmas party with my friend and family at home. I already know everyone will enjoy the sushi at the party. Different Quality Experience! 12/21/2008

After shopping at the Galleria, my friends were craving sushi so we found Hibashi, right across from the Galleria. Hibashi seemed like a usual sushi and teppan joint from outside yet inside decor and atmosphere was TRULY AMAZING. The food was great, very fresh, and service was very satisfying. After dinner we hung out at the bar, I was surprised, they have great happy hour selections for a restaurant! If you have some time to stick around, I really recommend you to check out the bartender flair show, it was really something different that you would not be able to see in Dallas. I, myself, love sushi and tried many different places in Dallas, but now Hibashi is on top of my list. I strongly recommend for different quality experience! Pros: FLAIR SHOW! Cons: - more

Sushi: When im in the mood for just sushi..i like to sit in at the sushi bar bc they have nice suede seats and its just really comfortable when your eating...really romantic too..the rolls are awesome..very different...you wont find their special rolls to be at blue fish or other places...they have rolls that literally come on fire like the white dragon roll (favorite!)..or the snowman roll that is topped with whip cream...a disadvantage i would say is that the rolls arent as big as the rolls as blue fish...but then again...that is what blue fish is known for..cant help that...to make up for it..they're really really really good...i also like how the cali roll actually has real snow crab in it..taste better.. Very nice setup, I like how it's spaced out and has a lot of breathing room. A very modern appeal and the color changing of the bar makes this a great place to take a date. Bar is nice if you're just wanting sushi and some drinks but also has a full teppan style grill for eating dinner. Beer, here, IMO, is on the pricey side. I'd recommend mixed drinks rather than beer as the beer is only slight cheaper than a mixed drink/ Pros: Complimentary Valet, Nice Bar Cons: Pricey Drinks more

The food is excellent!!! Some of the best sushi I have had recently, the ingredients seemed incredibly fresh. This is the perfect place to go if you are super hungry because the portions are really big but the prices are reasonable. more

I love these kind of restaurants! You sit back and visit with friends while you are entertained with watching your meal being cooked. These restaurants have become more popular in recent years, but I still enjoy going to them. You can also have appetizers or a meal of Sushi...caters to people with all different tastes in food. more
