I scheduled a floor refinishing project that I purchased through a Groupon. I scheduled the date well in advance. The evening before the scheduled date, I called the owner (Grant Hartwig) to confirm the appointment since he had not called me again since we originally scheduled. He confirmed to me the appointment but then later called back to say they could not be there as scheduled. I conveyed my extreme disappointment with that since my husband and I had already moved extremely heavy furniture, disconnected our refridgerator water line, and removed the toilet in prep for his workers to come the next day. When talking to Grant, we were ""disconnected"". After making multiple, unsuccessful attempts to contact Grant again by phone, I finally got a hold of him when I used a different phone number to try to call him. It was as if he was trying to avoid me. He told me that he was losing money on the Groupon deals. I later emailed him stating my extreme disappointment and wrote that I expected things to go smoothly from here on out and that my expectations were very high since he already made a bad impression. I wrote that I was willing to give him another chance, but he had a lot to prove. He replied that he didn't want my business. In summary, he failed to live up to his agreement with the Groupon. He made no attempt to make things right with the customer. He took the easy way out. Now, my house is torn apart in prep for the floor refinishing which won't happen now. I am extremely disappointed and am astonished he operates his business this way.
