Terrible Customer Service 5/5/2010

I called to get information for an upcoming birthday and they were very rude. I felt like I was putting them out by asking questions. I will never use them and will tell my friends also!! more

I purchased a cheesecake several months ago, and although the outside was beautifully decorated the cake itself was very amateur. First of all the color of the chocolate was a light tan, it didn't even look like chocolate. Secondly, the filling had clumps of cream cheese bits all threw out the cake. lastly the consistency was more crumbly rather than creamy and smooth. I could have made a tastier cheesecake at home rather than paying 15$ for an tiny cake. more

We ordered our wedding cake from Hornberger's, and even though we didn't get to sample it on our wedding day, we were told that it was delicious (we ordered chocolate chip pound cake with buttercream icing). Pros: Pleasant staff, wonderful treats more

Hornberger's Made Our Special Day Even Better! 9/28/2008

Hornberger's is brilliant. With many complications in the planning stages, the date for the wedding kept changing. Hornberger's was totally willing to work with us and make sure we got just what we wanted on the date we wanted it on. The wedding cake was gorgeous and delicious!! I highly recommend getting the raspberry marble pound cake. The texture was beautiful, very fine, and very dense. Perfect. The icing (we chose not to go with the buttercream) was not too sweet, and everything was magnificent. Thank you Hornberger's! You made a wonderful day extra special! Pros: Excellent product, and friendly, super-helpful staff! Cons: None! more

Wedding Cake 11/3/2007

I had the most amazing wedding on 10/20/07. From the weather to the food to the people, my day was perfect except the cake. It was the worst cake of all time. I had two wedding cakes, one in chocolate and one in vanilla. It was SOOOOO dry even the ""Butter Cream Icing"" was hard and just horrible. I did not even save a top piece to each for next year. You could of used the pieces of cake to sand down the paint on your car. Someone mentions going to this bakery - stop them!! Pros: Close to our home. Cons: Close to our home. more
