Great attitudes, great food, outstanding experience! This place is definitely expensive, but buy an entertainment book and follow the daily specials and you will save some money. The waitress was amazing! Everything she reccommended from the drinks to the rice to the soup to the main course to the deserts were AWESOME! She even got my tense girlfriend to eat squid, and LOVE IT! They also tell you how to cook everything. Parking is in the back and is free if you are a customer. It gets busy, so I reccommend reservations. Pros: great service, fun atmosphere, good location, awesome food Cons: pricey, busy more

Good but was left feeling hungry and broke 1/4/2007

Portions small, but tasty. I saw the long line and it brought curosity to my eyes. After a 2 hour wait, we were finally seated. I thought that the price was surprisingly cheap but soon realized after the food arrived that the portions were very small. For 2 adults, the bill was over $50 and I was still not full. The atmosphere was good and the service was great; however, I would rather go to another place if I wanted a heartier meal at a better price. The food was good. The filet migon meat was very tender but, like the rest of the dishes, small. Pros: Good customer service Cons: price, portions more

Quality, Quality, Quality 6/18/2004

Gyu-Kaku's is the only restaurant in Honolulu that my wife and I return to during every visit. We've lived in Japan for more than 24 years and during that time have been spoiled by a caliber of customer service second to no other country. As is customary throughout Japan, this restaurant provides a great menu... great atmosphere... and great service. Crowds means good food, so if you don't like having to wait for a table then eat somewhere else. Pros: Friendly Service, Helpful Waiters, Affordable price more
