Disappointing that a greek place does not serve falafel! I was so surprised. You can get a veggie wrap here if you are vegetarian and that's about it.

Not only is the food good, simple, clean, AND PLENTIFUL, but the staff is great !! We eat in or order for delivery or pickup---Their ""WORLD PLATE"" for 2 or 4 is so abundant, it feeds more !! You gotta try it if you love meat---we are addicted now for a couple of years and get our fix at least twice a month. more

Welcome 2 my World!! 10/24/2009

WoW--- If ur a Greek Meat eater this is the mecca! The Platter for 2 does not dissapoint--it just keeps comeing. Nice comfortable unpretentious place with good freindly service. Been loyal 2 Fontanas down the road 4 years --- but the cramped tables and the surly service have made me change alligence 2 GYRO WORLD!!! Pros: U dom't have 2 b Greek!! Cons: U dom't have 2 b Greek!! more

Good and cheap Greek Food 11/20/2008

Nice place where you can go and have a nice meal without paying a lot. Friendly atmosphere.\r \r No alcoholic drinks are sold here but you can still have a nice glass of water or a coke! more

  • In 2005 Gyro World opened it's doors on Northern Boulevard and 195th Street in Queens, New York.  Whoever has had the pleasure of walking through these doors understands this is where you can enjoy an unforgettable combination of authentic Greek cuisine, warm Greek hospitality, inviting atmosphere, friendly service, and affordable prices, with an emphasis on freshness and simplicity.  Our niche has always been Fast Casual Greek Cuisine.  That means authentic Greek fast food made with fresh ingredients and simple tastes. We  were determined to bring to Queens quality Greek fast food that has even disappeared from Athens.  We are pride ourselves in making all of our Greek specialties on premises and never buying frozen ingredients. 

    Thanks to our loyal customers, Gyro World expanded in 2011 and we added a larger dining area as well as space for private events and parties.
