NOT even close to the best gyros I've eaten ...but the worst thing about GC was the 'service' ...if you can call it that. The 'joint' is small and only has a hand-full of tables to eat at and has an alleged 'service' counter! I was traveling alone and went there to eat-in for dinner. Big mistake. All the tables were filled so I thought I'd eat at the long (approx. 2 foot by 12 foot) 'service' counter. The 6 counter seats were fairly new, padded nicely and comfortable. The counter itself was a nice quality marble. It's too bad 'ALL' the employees treat it as their work zone instead of a place to 'serve' customers. Fully ...four of the 6 counter 'areas' were piled up with plastic bagged take-out orders and the their order sheets. I said that I was going to eat at the counter and no-one ...not even what appeared to be the manager/owner ... bothered an attempt at clearing an area for me to eat at. I sat down at the 3rd seat from the far end ...which was apparently not for customers because one of the waitresses was taking up that end seat with a ''business phone' where she was taking phone orders between munching on her own food. Since no-one even attempted to move any of the the production line out from in front of me ...I slid over one more seat before my waitress put a paper placemat down in front of me, that looked like it wasn't completely clean. The cooking staff kept slamming food containers and plastic food bags, for the takeout orders onto the counter next to me ...completely oblivious to the fact the I was eating literally inches from their ever-encroaching 'production line'. Never once did I hear an excuse me ...or even a glancing acknowledgment that I was sitting there as a customer. The waitress never returned to see if my order was OK ...or if I needed anything else. This 'joint' had the absolutely rudest staff that I have ever encountered and the manager/owner not only didn't seem concerned about it at all ...but he was actually interacting playfully with these rude 'service' personnel.
