Love it! 10/22/2008

My daughter has taken classes at Gym America for over a year and loves it. Her coach is fun and attentive and loves to work with her students. My daughter comes home from class wanting more and wants to sign up for more classes. She loves the fun meets and the Grand Finale that is held at the end of the year. The students learn routines to perform and she has improved each session she has attended Gym America. more

Gym America has helped my daughters confidence. The positive coaching style is very effective. Pros: Low student teacher ratio, great personal attention Cons: Lobby is crowded more

best gym in town 3/16/2007

I am not sure what the previous reviewer is talking about. This is an awesome place with awesome coaches and staff. The owner is very involved with the program. My child has been attending for 2.5 years and has had the same coach the entire time. I think in a college town though you do have to expect some turnover as many of the teachers are college students. They are all well qualified and work off of organized lesson plans that are cohesive throughout the program. I would give it a perfect 10 and would never go anywhere else!! Pros: everything more

Not what it used to be 10/13/2005

With the turnover in coaches, the focus has turned to getting money from the parents, from charging for ""fun meets"" - the equivalent of a recital, pressuring gymnists in recreational classes to buy their leotards with their logo on it, and charging to use fitness facilities for parents, and decreasing observation space. The quality of coaching has gone way down. I am searching for a new facility for my daughter because she has regressed over the past year. Cons: Turnover more
